Call: Expressions of Interest Welcomed?

Questions for LYRA's consideration for presentation or referal do persist for some
members that led to the idea that there may yet be interest in the club
for thinking towards putting together a meeting or two to discuss whether resources today available
at this location to support projects of value to American Canadian interest.

The review possibility was in the realm of possibility pending on many factors beyond present resources
and member interest, insofar as the migrant condition did displace long-term commitment
to hospitality and civic engagement with friends to Calgary and Alberta's communities,
efforts to recognize the reality of years of donations to newer arriving some in large groups
have become dotted with obstacles after American monies transferred were subjected to private profiteering
premeditation, now under investigation by more than one policing agency.

Very special interests as future commitments based on historical friendship
between Canada and America led to missions including diplomacy intended ones
to begin to find commencement efforts for prioritization but not to the damaging of existing current agenda
developed within nation, bilaterally, as well as from agreements and convening
based on tacit understanding between those supporting peace and trade internationally.

Amidst the jumbo of many voices, events, disruptions, efforts to maintain, efforts to sustain,
work towards order, and queries amongst many parties with substantial and sometimes historical investments,
the club of LYRA, started in 2022 local time, is here remarking that attention should
never cause injury amongst our own, but rather seek to restore the condition of trust
between friends and family, by that here in Alberta,
as in America,
belief is foremost for independence and freedom.

With gratitude to those of Calgary and Alberta's communities,
let the club's wishes be upheld that requests and questions be from realities of order
and be set into letters in writing
and that they be come of love and care towards peace rather challenge and confrontation.

Film Club rushed to selection

Despite overwhelming requests to rally for the seasonal recommendation for warm get togethers with the
steady supply of flat screen television sets into the suburbs of Calgary through franchise stores and additional markets,
to push forward the street performances at Chinook LRT station,
this month's recommendation invites us to re-examine the false dichotomy between decision classes and
worker classes in city building followed by the discovery of distinction in roles in the great film made early in the early film period,
by the mysterious and elusive filmmaker Fritz Lang -

"Metropolis" (1927),

Metropolis(1927)

as the city of Calgary and the country of the Province of Alberta continue
to examine for the city's future and for questions to historiography
the tension between settlement culture and values
and the demands of global motions upon a critical period in which
the enigmatic "pandemic" indicating a motion that must reach international and global understanding
is being defined.

Thank you to the young people of LYRA who suggested the film "Rushmore" (1998)
leading to many adults' sudden interest in restoring the possibility of access to great movies and also
films from different nations around the world by the generous and extraordinary effort of
American company Netflix in the early days of web business development.

It is to the club's regret to announce the delay of the Spring 2024 issue of
The Exciting Times.
It was reported by concerned citizens to the current place of publication, here in our proud city of
Calgary, by heritage we recall the great settlement period during and following the construction of
the Canadian Pacific Railway that made so much possible, that the editor
is experiencing additional demands after the call for a classifieds division for the publication
now circulating each season between 200,000 and 2 million over internetworking
for audiences who are online with interest to positive future developments.

However, the editor did issue a brief statement upon in person inquiry that the reason for the delay
of the making and the publication of the newsletter is primarily due to the local community's sudden and inexplicable surprise
that the newsletter's plan ongoing in the months prior to issue eight pages, expanding on the previous four pages,
was the actual cause but offered little further explanation. Incidentally, New York Times now is holding the implicit position
that its classifieds has been scaled to a further extent than can be contained in its already bulky newspaper in the industry called New Media;
relatedly, the decision to place inserts into some copies in New York City selectively draws mild interest, a resounding response
to The Exciting Times' own editor who had tentatively suggested it in a blog.
Locals note that the difficulty in instating a tobacco shop that carries international newspapers at least intermittently
in the controversial and possibly illegal Telus Sky tower and the related effort to have a classy flower stand in downtown
will not reach resolution as quickly as foreigners would have it.

Youth Recommendation to LYRA Film Club

The various of business affairs hyperized speed transacting led to general discontent, it was reported somewhere
in Calgary (although by which ethnic or national group could not be determined). Meanwhile, young people having become
accustomed to running many viewings and analysis and even some overt businesses, have discovered that
their generational status in Calgary and Alberta put them at a definite advantage.
For this period of spring-to-summer 2024, the young people of the LYRA American Canadian Club of Calgary
elect the comedy
"Rushmore" by Wes Anderson (1998)
to the LYRA Film Club.

Update on the public outdoor theatre: No film showing has yet been announced to the knowledge of the club,
however, it is possible that the city of Calgary is being excluded from this sort of events, still available in other locations
of the province.
